New Features Enhance Document Security in Foxit Reader and Phantom PDF Suite

Fremont CA, September 30, 2010Foxit Corporation, a leading provider of solutions for reading, editing, creating, organizing, securing PDF documents, today announced the release of Foxit Reader 4.2 and Foxit Phantom PDF Suite 2.2. The new versions contain an enhanced secure digital signature validation, Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) and Data Execution Prevention (DEP).

The new secure digital signature validation protects users from falsified documents which may result in financial and sensitive data losses. The Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR)which uses a random algorithm to determine a memory address used to store key file data, and the Data Execution Prevention (DEP), which prevents executing code from a non-executable memory location, results in a safe PDF viewing and sharing environment.
