Company History

Our business started in 1996, when several part-time developers got together in the heart of the Silicon Valley, and spent half a year developing KoalaTerm. At that time, KoalaTerm was the first terminal emulator that used the Unicode and TrueType font support of Windows 95. We managed to support most European character sets inside it, without any additional requirement for a localized Windows system.

Then we established the Midasoft Company and built a web site to sell the product. It was a success far beyond our expectations; KoalaTerm was used by thousands of users worldwide.

From the very beginning, we committed to giving our customers long-term quality support, so we've included free lifetime support and upgrading since the first purchase of KoalaTerm.

We were constantly improving KoalaTerm. It's still one of the best terminal emulation programs available on the market, even today.

In 2000, we extended the KoalaTerm product line by adding Secure KoalaTerm. It was designed to be so easy to use that the user wouldn't even notice that they were using a secured version.

In 2001, we started the development of the Windows Access Server product line. The server, client, and toolkit were finished in 2002, and after intensive testing, we released them onto the market.

Now we operate under a new name, Foxit Corporation, and we have grown into a full-sized team from just a couple of developers. Our young and able developers not only develop the products, but also handle the technical support.

By the end of 2002, we had built a new company website, with an online shop and detailed information with online help about all our products. Now our customers can purchase our great products online, securely and easily.

We are committed to providing the best products and services to our customers, and we value any suggestions to improve our products and services from any source.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Foxit Corporation. Thanks.
