The main responsibilities of this important position are demand generation, content nurturing, and budget management. This means that you will develop program ideas, pitch them, execute them, and measure their success to drive continuous learning and improvement. You will work with an allocated budget and you will work very closely with the rest of the marketing department, as well as sales, product management, agencies, and other groups and individuals.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, create, execute, and manage lead-gen campaigns in line with sales and marketing priorities and goals using assets such as (but not limited to) infographics, videos, webinars, and whitepapers. Balance efforts per sales priorities between bulk one-off lead programs (downloads of free trials of PhantomPDF) and multi-seat (business) leads.
  • Manage lists so they perform optimally by understanding them, segmentation, hygiene, targeted programs, etc. Manage the email infrastructure/platform, minding opt-outs, bounces, spam traps, etc.
  • Develop target market segmentation and buyer personas to drive targeted campaigns supported by crisp marketing briefs and clear goals.
  • Prepare and present analytical and managerial reports and analysis that drive understanding and improvement (not data for data's sake). Track and measure pipeline contribution; report on key success metrics. Interpret data and present it with conclusions and suggestions.
  • Make sure that all activities are properly tracked for accurate reporting; make sure that all leads are properly captured, distributed, and followed up on.
  • Use content marketing (manage the blog, newsletter, and email blasts) to nurture and drive awareness, preference, leads, and loyalty. Develop and manage blog topics; work with internal and external blog authors to get posts suggested, drafted, reviewed, and posted.
  • Manage the budget for the department. Track marketing plans, commitments, and actual spending against budget so that we always have an accurate picture of where we stand in relationship to the budget so that we can stay the course, reallocate funds, or make other mid-course adjustments. Ensure the proper approvals and payment of invoices. Reconcile reports with finance department.
  • Implement best practices in HubSpot, salesforce, Clickback, etc. for their best impact, and always look for improvements, integrations, new systems, etc.
  • Stay up to date on latest B2C and B2B lead-generation programs and tactics and continually drive experimentation and best practices to increase the number of qualified leads at lowest possible CPL.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of lead-gen experience, campaign development, execution and reporting, and list management.
  • Strong analytical capability, great communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, supporting multiple teams and initiatives simultaneously.

To help us launch and market our solutions successfully to existing and new customers, you will create compelling content and adeptly coordinate plans with a lot of moving parts. Reporting directly to the vice president of marketing, you are responsible for ensuring that products launch into their markets with repeatable, consistent quality, rigor, and success. You will be support outbound marketing. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. You need to understand your buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria, and you will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Market intelligence: Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. Be the expert on the competition and how to crush them.
  • Messaging: Develop product positioning and compelling messaging that differentiates our multiple products in various markets to drive understanding, preference, and demand.
  • Content: Create well-written content for the web site and other media. Create a steady stream of organic social media and also blog posts for the web and newsletter to drive demand and loyalty. Support the Marketing Programs Manager with infographics and other assets for campaigns. Develop and manage low-cost but high-impact product demo videos that drive demand and loyalty.
  • Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of our products to the sales team and create collateral, slide decks, and other sales-enablement tools that accelerate the sales funnel. Create and perform product training as needed for various internal and external audiences.
  • Product launch: Manage the marketing portion of the roadmap, and plan launches and updates by managing a cross-functional implementation plan. Understand and document the goals of each launch, and identify and track critical success factors. Identify risks and work with stakeholders to diminish impact on launch timelines. Conduct post-launch reviews to drive ongoing process improvement. Work with product management to drive successful beta programs. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans across multiple launches; manage and negotiate changes; produce timely status reports and keep online systems up to date.
  • Demand gen: Help the Marketing Programs Manager develop lead-gen campaign ideas and priorities (including paid social). Support campaigns with compelling content. Create and deliver killer webinars.

The key purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive technical and sales information to potential customers. What we are looking for:

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a B2B software solution sales function of a technical product
  • Technical sales experience

  • Ability to qualify leads, recognize high-value sales opportunities, and assist with completion of the deal
  • Collaboration with the technical team to deliver solutions for customers
