Export Compliance Information

The following are the guidelines as set by U.S. law as they pertain to export of goods to destinations outside the country of original purchase. This information may be required for your shipping documentation, record keeping, or post-shipment reporting.

To obtain Foxit's ECCN

If Foxit Goods are exported to destinations outside countries of original purchase, Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and license information will be required to complete required export documentation. Foxit's Product Export Information below includes product names, version numbers, license exception symbols and ECCNs.

  • The ECCN is a five-digit alphanumeric character classification system used to determine U.S. export licensing requirements. The ECCN represents a specific commodity defined in the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (formerly the Bureau of Export Administration).

The Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) is an alphanumeric code assigned by Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to products that it has classified against the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Software companies provide the CCATS number because some encryption exports require the exporter to make post-shipment reporting to BIS on a bi-annual basis and the CCATS number is amongst one of the mandatory elements required for reporting.

You are ultimately responsible for exporting Foxit products in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) 15 Code of Federal Regulations.
