Atalasoft, Inc. today announced it has entered into a partnership with Foxit Corporation to provide faster performing, higher quality, and more robust PDF Reading for the Atalasoft DotImage imaging toolkit. The resulting product is the v4.1 release of DotImage PDFRasterizer; an add-on to DotImage which enables support for integrating PDF viewing, printing, and format conversion in document management and workflow applications developed in Microsoft .NET.
Licensed DotImage developers can use DotImage PDFRasterizer to add PDF reading support to applications without the need for Acrobat Reader and its associated dependencies. The significant performance increase now enables DotImage PDFRasterizer to be used within the DotImage AJAX-enabled web image viewer for thin-client browser-based viewing, scrolling, and zooming of PDF documents by adding just one line of code.

The engineering teams at Atalasoft and Foxit were able to deliver a high quality and robust product tested on thousands of PDF documents submitted by Atalasoft and Foxit customers. This release is a free upgrade to existing DotImage PDFRasterizer 4.0 customers with full backwards compatibility and a drop-in replacement with previous versions.
