It’s no secret that converting documents to PDF is one of the most frequently used workflows. After all, PDF is the go-to for standardizing and archiving digital documents and other file types. It enables people to view your document or image but not edit it or make any changes. And PDF files are easy to share using cloud services such as Dropbox, Box or Google Drive, or via email.
You can also convert HTML files, text files, even image files. Here’s how to convert your files to PDF with Foxit PhantomPDF Mac.
Let’s look at three different scenarios. In each of these cases, we’ve got different file formats and we want to convert each of them into PDF.
Converting Microsoft Word files into PDF
Start by opening Foxit PhantomPDF for Mac. Next, go to the conversion tab. Then, go to “From files” in the menu and choose “Office to PDF”. Now, select the Word document you want to convert and open it. That’s all there is to it. Your Microsoft Word document has now been converted to a PDF document.
Converting Microsoft Excel files into PDF
The steps to convert Microsoft Excel files into PDF are very similar to converting Microsoft Word files into PDF. Here’s what you do.
Once again, make sure Foxit PhantomPDF Mac is open. Now go to the “From files” pulldown. Click “Office to PDF” and select the Excel file you want to convert. That’s it. The Excel spreadsheet is now a PDF file.
Converting a scanned image file into PDF
Converting a scanned image to PDF is slightly different. To do so, again, open Foxit PhantomPDF Mac if it isn’t already open. Now click again over “From Files.” Next, choose “From File,” then select the scanned image that you want to convert. Your scanned image file will now be converted into PDF.
