PDF is designed to render content inalterable, preserving its look and feel across platforms and for posterity. But what if you need to add, move or delete an image? This article will provide you the details to perform these tasks easily.
First off, get to know Foxit PhantomPDF
PhantomPDF is a full-fledged PDF editor. As such, you can use PhantomPDF to create and edit PDF files, add comments, share with colleagues and collaborators, make PDF files secure, use OCR to make text searchable, and sign PDF documents and forms. And of course, you can add, remove, and move images to your heart’s content.
Now that you know a bit about Foxit PhantomPDF, here’s how to take image editing in PDF files to the next level.
Adding an Image
To add an image, do the following:
- Select EDIT > Insert > Image
.
- Drag a rectangle on the page to define the canvas area for the image.
- In the Add Image dialog box, click the Browse button to select the image that you want to insert and click the Open button. You’ll see the URL of this image has been added to the Location field.
- Click the Advanced button to edit the settings of the image, if you choose.
Should you need to scale the image, you can choose when to do so by setting PhantomPDF to always scale it to fit the rectangle you draw, only scale if it’s too big or small, or never to do so.
Click OK for your changes to take effect, or click Reset to reset the data to the original settings.
Moving an Image
Moving an image to another location is straightforward. Simply do the following:
- Select the Annotation Selection Tool
or the Image Tool
and put the cursor over the image so that the handle appears.
- Click and drag the image to wherever else you’d like it to appear instead.
Resizing an Image
If you need to resize an image, just do these steps:
- Select the Annotation Selection Tool
or the Image Tool
and put the cursor over the image so that the handle appears.
- Place the cursor on any corner point, at which time it’ll show the direction at which the rectangle will be resized.
- Drag the cursor outside and it will increase the size of the rectangle. Drag the cursor inside to decrease the size of the rectangle.
As you can see, making image changes in Foxit PhantomPDF is straightforward and easy! So if you’re in need of next-level PDF editing capabilities, PhantomPDF can take you there.
April 19.
Hello, my problem isn’t how to add an image,
not even to extract images,
my problem seems more simple: How can I
remove an image, let’s say on page 1.
As I said, extracting images – no problem.
… however FOXIT … I don’t grasp it. Too old (70 years).
Good nite.
