WAC Server: Remote Control
WAC Server is
a great alternative to traditional remote control programs.
When
connected to WAC Server using any standard terminal client, you get full access
to the Windows command prompt window (sometimes called the "Windows Console").
From this window, you can do the following things:
-
Execute
basic Windows commands
like "dir", "cd", "del" to manage your Windows files and other resources. To
see a list of commands available, type "help" at the console window.
-
Run command
line programs
(sometimes called "TTY programs"). These programs take and display simple
text information and can be run with any type of terminals. WAC Server
includes a "wac" command tool for you to view and manage the status of WAC
Server.
-
Run full
screen text programs. These programs uses the whole screen to
display. They can display colorful text information, graphical special
characters, and accept mouse input. WAC Server includes a collection of full
screen text programs called "WAC
Toolkit" that allows you to do a lot of things on your server.

Compared with
other graphic remote control programs, WAC Server has the following advantage:
-
WAC Server
allows clients made by different vendors to access the server;
-
WAC Server
sends out text information only so it's pretty fast even with a low-speed
link;
-
WAC Server
allows many users to access the server at the same time without conflicting
with each other.
