Introduction

Although WAC Server works with most standard-conform clients, we strongly suggest you to use WAC Native Client programs to access WAC Server.

WAC Native Client programs run on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP systems. They are designed to work perfectly with your WAC Server, so you can use all the features provided by WAC Server, including:

  • Full color support (256 colors);
  • Full mouse support (mouse move, click, double click, dragging, left/right click);
  • Integrated file transfer between the client machine and server;
  • Reduced traffic volume using compression.

WAC has two native client programs:

  • WACTERM: a telnet protocol based client, small and efficient, gives you all the features when accessing WAC Server;
  • WACSSH: an SSH protocol based client, supporting all the features provided by WAC Server, while using strong encryption in all communications between server and client.

WAC Native Client programs can be distributed free of charge, and they work with WAC Server only.
