Frank current runs a legacy back-end with PC clients, and using Foxit’s open architecture, coupled with a simple, yet robust PDF-based document management system, Frank was able to create a cost-effective, complete, secure, end-to-end document management system at a fraction of the cost of other solutions. Managing his document flow’s a snap with Foxit, as given they are one of the only vendors to provide a command line interface. Frank can now create batch files that simplify the automation of storage, distribution, and retrieval of Bushwick’s extensive document catalog. Furthermore, he can virtualize PDF storage and workflow across all of Bushwick’s remote sites, enhancing local user productivity all the while ensuring complete PDF security and accountability.

Furthermore, the metals industry, given the current state of the economy, has been experiencing high employee turn-over; companies are at a heightened risk of corporate espionage and intellectual property theft. Bushwick is using Foxit to prevent sensitive information from being printed, e-mailed or otherwise distributed to unauthorized recipients by requiring users to be logged into its local area network to read documents. Thus key to Frank’s choice of Foxit’s Security Suite was the ability for him to set document permissions as well as enable control printing or saving of sensitive information across Bushwick. Given Frank’s use of Microsoft Rights Management Services (M-RMS), Foxit’s Security Suite adds a further layer of security control to M-RMS, allowing Frank complete control over user access to and use of digital documents. The 1,000’s of documents he manages and distributes can now be password protected, redacted to hide sensitive information, or electronically signed with secure, “proof of digital signature” capability. The ability to show complete document security is important for not only Bushwick, but any post-“Sarbanes-Oxley” organization. Frank can comply fully with both internal and external audits, for both Bushwick and those required by the Marmon Group.
