Post a PDF on Your Facebook Profile

Did you ever want to share information in a PDF document onto your status on your Facebook page?  Maybe there was a funny image, interesting quote, or invitation to an event that you want to share with your Facebook friends.  PDFs are a great way to share information, but until now, it’s been difficult to post them on Facebook. With Foxit PDF Reader 7, that’s all changed. Now you can quickly and easily post PDFs on your Facebook profile, sharing with your friends whatever information you want to share – whether it’s a funny image, interesting quote, or invitation to an event. And best of all, it’s free!

Posting Text

To share text, the process is very simple.  First, choose the Select Text menu item in the Basic tab.  Then just drag the cursor over the text you want to share.  Once the text is selected, click the right mouse button and a number of options will appear.  Choose the Share the Selected Text item with the Facebook logo on it.  After this has been completed, a Facebook integration column will appear on the right hand side of the Foxit PDF Reader with the text you selected filled in.  Foxit PDF Reader will provide you with a Login button to log into Facebook.  After login, click on the Share button on the bottom and the selected text will appear as status on your Facebook page.  Sharing PDF text couldn’t be easier!

Sharing an Image

For images, the process is very similar.  Instead of using the Select Text menu item in the Basic tab, choose the SnapShot item right next to it.  Draw a box around the image you want to share, and then right click and choose the Share the Selected Image item with the Facebook logo on it.  Follow the same procedures as above and you’ll be sharing cool PDF images with your friends in no time!

Post a PDF on Your Facebook Profile

To post the entire document, just right mouse click on the opened file and choose Share Current Document item with the Facebook logo on it.  Since Facebook does not store files, you can post a link to the file on your Facebook status and store the file on Foxit’s OnDemand CM service, which is free to users.  Your Facebook friends will then be able to click on the link on your Facebook page and view your PDF document.
