Creating and annotating PDF on mobile devices   

It’s now easier than ever to make annotations on a PDF while on the go. This is possible thanks to Foxit MobilePDF, available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices. This mobile PDF Reader essentially brings you all the functions of Foxit PhantomPDF and Foxit PDF Reader on your smartphone or tablet.

Creating Annotations

For iOS

First, set your annotation identity so that other reviewers know that it’s you commenting. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the menu icon
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Annotation Author, located under PDF View
  4. Enter your name or username, and tap Done

To add a comment:

  1. Tap Comment
  2. Tap on the T icon
  3. Tap the circular blue icon to adjust the font, text color, and font opacity
  4. Tap on the place of the PDF where you wish to leave a comment
  5. Input your comment

For Android

To set annotation identity:

  1. Tap the menu icon
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Annotation Author, located under PDF Annotation
  4. Enter your name or username, and tap OK

To add a comment:

  1. Tap Comment
  2. Tap on the T icon
  3. Tap the circular blue icon to adjust the font, text color, and font opacity
  4. Tap on the place of the PDF where you wish to leave a comment
  5. Input your comment

For Windows

To set annotation identity:

  1. Tap Settings, or the Menu icon if using a mobile
  2. Tap X to clear the annotation author field and input your name

To add a comment:

  1. Tap on the pencil and paper icon
  2. Tap on the speech bubble icon
  3. Tap on the part of the document where you want to add the note
  4. A pop-up window will appear for inputting your note/comment
  5. Tap Create

With all three platforms, you also have other functions, such as highlighting, crossing out, or adding a squiggly line under the text to make it stand out.
